We recently needed a new kitchen (and utility) following a large extension to our 1970s house.  Being a relatively new house, we wanted something that wasn’t a “cottage” sort of kitchen, but would look sleek, smart, clean and modern.  We looked around all the usual places (Magnet, Homebase, Ikea, John Lewis, Howdens, etc) and they are all either hugely expensive or offered a poor range, or both.

A friend recommended Eco-kitchens to us, having recently purchased a kitchen from them, and so we went along.  From the start, Sabine was incredibly welcoming and patient, tolerating our indecision, multiple changes and multiple visits.  She was also very honest – telling us when she thought something wouldn’t work or wasn’t a great idea, which was exactly what we needed.  Having chosen,  Sabine came out to measure out a couple of times and talk to the builders, and she spent a long time working with us on the design, what cupboards and drawers to put where, what options were the most cost effective, and so on.  The computer images and plans we received after sorting it all outwere really helpful and accurate. 

Having ordered, the wait wasn’t too long – about a month.  Our builders fitted the kitchen, but Sabine and Jeff were great at advising during the process, replacing one cupboard which wasn’t quite right, and then coming back and tweaking a couple of cupboard doors and things.  Their aftercare service has been amazing.  With most others that would have been it, having paid the money, but not with Sabine!

Now it’s in, the kitchen is perfect!  The quality is superb, the finish immaculate and now we’re using it we realise the design work by Sabine was really excellent.

 So we ended up with a fabulous kitchen at an amazing price, with a really helpful and honest team at Eco-kitchens!

” We had been planning to completely remodel our kitchen for a couple of years, but had been unable to find a supplier who offered a high quality kitchen at a realistic price. We had considered a kitchen from a DIY chain but although some of these looked satisfactory in the showrooms, we were pretty certain that they would start to show wear and tear early on in their life, and we wanted a job that would not only look good when it was first fitted, but for years to come. We found Eco German Kitchens in Winchester by pure chance, and were immediately struck by the high quality at what seemed a very fair price.

We had a detailed layout already prepared, but Sabine looked at it and suggested improvements that made real sense when she pointed them out. We ordered a kitchen after a lot of useful discussions with the Eco team, and decided to have it fitted by their fitting team (such a good decision!). The fitting process hit some snags and complications, as all major job like this inevitably do, but what impressed us was the way in which the fitters, the design team and the factory all worked together to overcome these problems without us having to worry about them.  Daniel, in charge of our fitting work, proved himself to be both an engineer and real craftsman by the way in which he approached and overcame complications, and in doing so I realised the very high quality of the fittings. I had, for example, always previously rejected the idea of a corner carousel because of their usual poor construction, but the engineering of the one supplied matched that of my German car!

The kitchen has worked out even better than we hoped, we found the initial consultation and design service very helpful, we had fairly clear ideas of what we wanted but talking it through with you helped to develop those ideas and make some important changes to achieve a kitchen we are really pleased with. The quality of the kitchen cupboards, doors and appliances is excellent and has the look and feel of a far more expensive kitchen.

We would also like to thank you for your help in accommodating the building problems we experienced which delayed the intended delivery date. Although the kitchen was fitted by our builder, your aftercare in finishing some of the fitting was first class, with impressive attention to detail. For anyone looking for a quality kitchen and design service at an affordable price we would recommend going to Eco Kitchens.
